1959 Harley Davidson 165, VIN 59 ST 3180. I bought it from Thunder Bay custom cycles a few years ago. it had NO TITLE, I HAD TO PUT SALVAGE TO LIST IT. I bought it with a Bill of Sale and it is being sold with a bill of sale. This m/c has come out of a long time dry storage, if you check the last picture you can see the original type Firestone & Goodyear tires cracked all around the rim.
All I did was change the transmission fluid, clean the carb, points and plug and it cranked right up. It was run with a remote fuel tank. It runs very well and has plenty
of pep but is going to require going over to make it roadworthy. It is going to need some adjustments, the clutch doesn't slip but lets way out and the front brake will also need some type of adjustment. The pillion pad in the picture hasn't been permanently attached. The speedometer works but I don't think the odometer is working but I only drove it up and down my driveway with those tires. The horn works, hi-low light switch works, brake light works but the headlight & taillight are going to need some attention they don't work. It has the original wiring harness which appears to be in pretty good condition except around the voltage regulator. The gas tank should be cleaned after sitting so long. In my opinion the chrome on the rims is very presentable. I didn't even clean them. The paint has a few nicks but in my opinion is also very presentable. The front of the exhaust pipe has a few dents that is hard to see in the pictures where someone forcefully installed it. The pieces on the cardboard in the picture all go with the bike. The carb covers don't have the screws to attach them and one of the screws was broken off on the inside of the cover.
My first time for trying a video it isn't the greatest but it will give you a better idea about the bike, it also shows me going through all three gears. I have a one minute video of the bike stationary if your interested send me your email address and I'll forward it to you.
