Beautiful All Original 1973 BMW R60/5 Toaster Tank

Here we have for sale a beautiful all original 1973 BMW R60/5 toaster tank airhead motorcycle. The bike had been off of the road and in storage for 40 years. The bike has only 12k original miles which is extremely low for a BMW of this era. As you can see by the license plate that the last time it was registered was 1984. When I acquired it I went through the entire bike. I checked and changes all of the fluids in the bike. I rebuilt both of the original Bing slide carburetors. I replaced the battery with a brand new AGM one. I changed the tires to match the original tread design as close as I could find. I replaced the points, condenser, spark plugs, spark plug caps, wires and more. I also adjusted the valves and timing as-well. The bike starts right up via the electric starter and runs great. This is such a nice and smooth motorcycle. Everything is original on the bike besides just a few small pieces like the grips, and tires. The grips were replaced with NOS Megura OEM grips. All of the electrical works great. The horn worked when I first got the bike fired but now it wont work. It may be a dirty connection in the switch or something. The gauges both work great on the bike. The handlebars and controls are all original and even have the original levers that have notches for your fingers. The seat is original and still has perfect firm foam in it. The bike even has a complete original tool kit, manual, tube patch kit, BMW towel and tool bin. This is super cool to see and find in a bike. It even has its original tire pump in the bike too. The original paint on the bike is beautiful and shines so nicely. The original hand painted pin stripes are in excellent condition. The chrome on the bike is beautiful and all original. The exhausts are all original. The side covers on the bikes are all original. The bike rides and shifts great. It shifts through all of the gears with ease. There is a small oil leak coming from one of the push rod seals on the clutch side of the bike. It’s great to go and ride all spring and summer long. I have a clean and clear Nevada title in my name. Please call 775-830-6760.
