Kawasaki KLX 400 Dual Sport Motorcycle made only 1 year in 2003. I bought it in 2012 from a local person, and
only put an average of 118 miles a year on it for the last 12 years as you can see in the title photo vs. the odometer. The person I bought it from had done some nice modifications:
1. the rear tail lights for a sleeker look
2. slightly lower gearing installed (front & rear cogs) for a more aggressive low end for trail riding.
3. The air filter and carb jets were modified for a bit more responsiveness (super easy wheelies compared to the factory configuration).
4. Rental handlebars
5. Aluminum skid plate
Brush guards for the handgrip area.(I have the right side)
7.I have recently had new Kenda tires put on it & an oil change etc. at Wolf Motorsports in Elkhart Lake WI.
It is in perfect running order, (brakes, turn signals etc.) with no issues. I ride it annually to "keep it in shape" but otherwise it's been babied. I'm going to be 60, so it's time to let someone else hopefully keep it as nice as I have. It's a perfect size for running around town, and has all the nimble ability to go off road aggressively if the rider can do their part!
No dents or scratches in the tank! No rips or tears on the seat. I keep a moving blanket over it to make sure.
