1955 Harley Davidson FLE Panshovel Chopper
This is an early 70's original patina, running, riding, stopping, survivor chopper built in Sacramento, California during the peak of choppers. There is a story behind this bike that the new owner gets with the bike. OEM 1955 matching bellies lower with a stroker OEM 1966 shovel top end. OG S&S Super B with Prism Supply Bristol air cleaner (I have the original round air cleaner that comes with the bike). OEM 65 four speed transmission. OEM mousetrap clutch booster. Upgraded American Prime Clutch basket (formerly Rivera Primo). I have the original clutch plates that will come with the bike if the buyer wants. OEM 1955 straight leg frame with the visible casting marks. Molded back in the late 70's shows original patina and age but still solid and straight. 3 finger neck rake (if you know, you know) with 6 over front end. Avon Speedmaster tire and original working drum brake. Rear end drum brake with NOS Shinko MT90 tire. Harley #1 sissy bar with old cat head taillight. Original 6V Electric Franks (pre-Cycle Electric) regulator. Cherry passenger chopper pegs. Old Leperra seat complete with iron burn. OEM sportster tank painted and decaled back in 73 by ANT. I have a NOS replacement decal for the A side of the tank if the seller wants. Old chrome rear trailer fender.
There are some cool old school touches that were used back in the day on this bike such as the 1955 dime used to cover the speedo cable hole, the screws in the rim to keep the wheel from out spinning the tire/inner tube, clear wiring from the cases to the heads to ensure oil pressure (NOS AEE oil pressure gauge added just to make sure), clear fuel line, stroker plates between cases and jugs and other stuff that I'm forgetting. Feel free to ask any questions. Clean and clear NC title. Titled as a 1955 Harley Davidson FLE not special construction. This bike went through NC DMV inspection for title so rest assured no shenanigans. Local pick up or I can work with your shipper. Please do not bid if your money isn’t right. Thanks for looking.
