This is a 1966 Matchless G80. I have owned it for 14 years but never rode it much. Last time was about 12 years ago. I did start it yesterday and after changing the petcocks and gas line and putting in some gas it started on the first kick! It was properly stored by me and It ran well . It was beautifully restored by the prior owner who really did a nice job on the complete restoration. Check the pictures as they are representative of the condition. The fenders and the tank are from the sport model and I think are much better looking than the stock G80 tin. The carb has also been changed to a concentric. This is a very nice motorcycle and rides and handles very nicely. It should continue to go up in value. It should only go to a person knowledgeable about British bikes and I hope the purchaser would ride it. I am only selling because I am 80 and I need to thin the herd as they say. Please check my record on Ebay. Tires are basically unused but should be replaced if ridden any distance. Deposit of $1000.00 is required within 48 hours of end of the auction. This is one very cool, rare and relatively inexpensive vintage motorcycle. It has an open California title. .Matchless engine and serial numbers do not ever match but both the frame and engine numbers are in the correct range for it's year. Engine number is G80135224. Frame is A87857.
