This bike has NO TITLE and will be sold with a bill of sale only. Up for sale is a first year 1977 KZ1000A. This model first went into production in September of 1976, this bike was produced the next month in October of 1976, the vin is low. Both frame and engine vins are in the photos, a matching number bike per Kawasaki specs. This KZ was Made in Japan, not the Lincoln plant. This bike is in really nice condition and was in the same family since new, passed from brother to brother. The pipes are aftermarket, and the rear grab bar was replaced with the luggage rack seen in the photos when the bike was new. The sweet '70's flame paint job is over the original paint. All other parts are original to the bike. I see no cracks in either side cover and the mount tabs are good. Rear cowl is not cracked. There is some surface rust on some of the chrome, mainly on the exhaust pipes and it's dull from years of barn storage, but it should clean up very nicely. The seat has blemishes and a seam separation as seen in the photos; however the foam is good, and the pan is super nice. It was/is a true barn find, I have not cleaned it in any way, this is how I found it. The original mileage is under 5k, extremely low. The bike is not currently running, it was last plated in 2003. According to the original owner it was running when parked. The engine turns over and has good compression. The inside of the tank is really clean, and I see no dents, please refer to the photos. The original key fob lanyard with (2) original Lions Head keys are included. The original tool case with tools and the tray are included. The document tray in the rear cowl is in place with the original Owner's manual, warranty handbook and dealer safety manual. The impossible to find original airbox and snorkel are in place as seen in the photos. This bike is a time capsule, a fantastic candidate for restoration or get running and ride as a daily driver. Do not miss out, reserve is reasonable and low. All shipping arrangements and associated costs are buyer responsibility.
