FOR SALE is this 1971 BMW R60/5 in black. This bike has been sitting in the new car showroom of a local BMW Car Dealership for the last few years. For a 42 year old bike it is in very nice condition overall. The odometer shows almost 34000 miles. The bike has been inspected by the only authorized local BMW Motorcycle Dealership in Plano TX (performed in July of 2013). The issues that were found have been resolved either by the dealer or by our mechanic.

Findings by BMW:

- Swingarm boot missing, no oil in swingarm (replaced boot and fluid)

- Misfire on right cylinder (fixed)

- Center stand hardware missing or damaged (fixed)

- No side stand (not addressed currently there are no brand new side stands available)

- Left carburetor sticking (fixed new carb seed installed)

- Exhaust leak (fixed)

- Throttle cables need replacement (no issues found)

- Header pipes need replaced (no issues found)

I will be happy to supply the new owner with the documention I have regarding the issues. 

The saddle bags are in fair condition at best - one of them has a crack in it that is hard to detect (about 2") and the latches have surface rust. The tires will need to be replaced so if you are planning to take the bike on a trip.
