Available for Ebay sale is this Rickman Yamaha DT1 Metisse MKIV “clone” project parts lot. All items pictured are included in auction, parts only, as this is an incomplete project for restoration, fabrication, and assembly. Again, this is NOT A COMPLETE MOTORCYCLE by any means or implication. Confirmed by Adrian Moss of Rickman Motorcycles UK, the MK1V frame has been modified to accommodate a Yamaha 250cc DT1 engine. The records at Rickman Motorcycles UK have confirmed that frame number 1327 / 410D was built in Sept 1968 and originally housed a Triumph T100A engine, it was sold to Bud Ekins, USA. The wheels and forks are from a late 1960’s Bultaco, there are three Yamaha 250cc engines, engine numbers DT1-19360 (DT1B 1969) , DT1F-163255 (DT2 1972) , and DT1F-136771 (DT2 1972) , all three engines, as well as the forks and wheels are in need of complete rebuild and restoration as the condition and internal integrity is unconfirmed. This is a great start to building a very unique “tribute” bike. Unconfirmed research has shown that 22 frame kits and 11 complete Rickman Yamaha DT1 Metisse motorcycles were built in 1968 and 1969. Please view the photos very carefully, photo of complete bike is for REFERENCE ONLY, ask seller any questions, as sale is final and return is not an option. Parts
are to be collected as pictured, crating and boxing is an option; however, this
must be discussed with seller prior to auction’s end. NOTE: There is no title, Ebay transaction is the only paperwork that will accompany this parts lot. The "250" miles is an arbitrary number that means absolutely nothing. All shipping arrangements and expenses are the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thank you and good luck bidding!
