2001 WR 250f liquid cooled four stroke engine with wide ratio 5 speed transmission
This bike is in great condition and needs nothing but a rider! I bought it in 2003, previous owner rode it once and parked it.
Bike has always been well maintained. Oil changes every 10 hours with synthetic oil, air filter cleaned regularly, swing arm and linkage bearings have been inspected and greased, fork seals don't leak.
Dunlop geomax at81 tires are better than 50% and hook up great.
Had full engine rebuild in 2013 due to a failed crank replaced crank, piston & rings, valves inspected and seals replaced, new output shaft bearing and seals. Used all new Yamaha OEM parts. The cylinder was undamaged. Motor was built by an experienced 30+ year motorcycle mechanic and runs flawlessly. 47 hours on motor since rebuild. Renthal o ring chain, sunstar steel sprockets, tm designs chain guide & slider all have less than 20 hrs on them.
Cycra Probend Triple clamp mount handguards have sustained some abuse but work just fine.
I swapped the seat & tank from a yz250f for improved riding position and installed an ash step seat. Also has yz exhaust for weight savings.
Starts easy and runs perfect! This bike is ready to pound the trails! I am only selling it because I bought a 450 and need to make some room in the garage.
Includes service manual, maintenance records, many spare parts, and original plastics.
There is NO TITLE for the bike!
