Cover is good. Bumping/rubbing to edges/corners. Wear at top and bottom of spine. One or two marks to boards.
Internally pages are good. Pages are on the whole clean and bright. Pages are tight to the boards. Inscription to endpaper. Webbing visible between inside front cover and first endpaper
Condition Grading: There are two grades for each book. The first letter/s refer to the cover/binding and the second refers to the internals. For example EX/G states that the boards and spine are excellent and the internal pages are good. In some instances where a book has a dust cover there will be a third letter as a prefix to the other two. For example G/EX/G states that the dust jacket is good, the boards and spine are excellent and the internal pages are good.
Grading is as follows:
M is MINT: Perfect and as new. It is very unlikely that I would ever class a book in this category regardless of how good the condition is.
EX is Excellent: A copy that has been read but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged. Very little bumping/rubbing to edges of boards. Very little evidence of discoloration/foxing to pages.
G is Good: A copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact and the cover is intact (including dust cover, if applicable). The spine may show signs of wear. Pages can include limited notes and highlighting and the copy can include "From the library of" labels. Some evidence of bumping/rubbing to edges of boards and possibility of small marks to boards. Some light discoloration/foxing to edges of pages/endpapers.
A is Acceptable: A readable copy. All pages and the cover are intact but there maybe damage. Pages can include considerable notes in pen or highlighter but notes cannot obscure the text. Considerable evidence of discoloration/foxing to pages/endpapers.
