1973 Honda CL350 Scrambler

A recent medical condition prevents me from riding and forces the sale of this classic 1973 Honda CL350.

It has a valid PA title (VIN CL3504057023) that matches the stamped number on the frame neck and is in good running order and mechanical condition with wear and tear consistent with a  40 year old motorcycle.

This bike has been fully disassembled down to the bare frame and rebuilt with many missing or worn parts replaced with NOS parts of the same vintage. 

It's a real head-turner and will make a great daily rider, and requires just a few finishing touches if the next owner wishes to do a cosmetic restoration. 

The very hard to find in good condition CL series upswept exhaust system is all original to the bike and the mufflers are intact, with no rust holes or dents. The exhaust headers have areas of pitting and surface rust, but are otherwise in good condition.

The electric starter and kick starter both work as does the charging system, and the bike easily starts and runs nicely with just a touch of the start switch or a couple of kicks.

There are no dents or dings in the fuel tank and the factory original paint is intact with a few minor chips and scratches around the edges. The frame has been professionally sandblasted and powder coated, the headlight bucket has been repainted.

The chrome fenders are original to the bike and have minor pitting and swirls consistent with age. The rims are also original to the bike and like the fenders have pitting and scratches in some areas.  The spokes are all present and tight.  Some spokes have surface pitting.  

The carburetors have been cleaned and adjusted.  The charging system and electrics work correctly, but need some attention given to the left turn signal (possibly the blinker or a bad ground), and the kill switch needs to be repaired or replaced if the next owner wishes.

There are many new parts installed, including:

  • All tins are original (minor pits and swirling on chrome)
  • Original seat covering (no tears or rips)
  • Fuel tank has the original paint (minor paint chips & scratches)
  • Steering stem bearings cleaned and repacked
  • Swing arm bearings cleaned and repacked
  • Motor has been repainted with heat resistant epoxy paint
  • Inside of fuel tank cleaned and sealed with POR epoxy coating
  • Fuel petcock rebuilt with NOS parts
  • New, fully charged battery
  • New tires and tubes
  • New OEM type chain
  • New reproduction turn lamps, nos headlight, taillight-bulb, tail lens original
  • New Honda NOS control levers for throttle / clutch & front brake
  • New Honda NOS grips
  • New Honda NOS mirrors
  • New brake pads front and rear
  • New foam air filters in original housings
  • New plugs, points and condensers
  • Fresh oil change

I do not end auctions early unless there is an error in the description or a problem with the item.  Once an item is listed in an auction, it will remain as such in adherence to eBay policies.  Returns and Refunds
Everything listed in my auctions is used.  Items will show signs of use consistent with age such as surface soiling, worn finishes, scratches, nicks and dents.  Do not expect any item to be in "showroom condition".  In the auction description and photographs I do my best to call-out any visible defects I see in the item, but please understand that I am not an expert in all the items I list.
