Up for auction is a beautiful 1992 BMW R100GS with only 9500 miles on the clock! These classic machines are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this sort of unmolested and super low mileage condition. This bike is all original and super clean. No bags, no heated grips, no extra anything. I bought this bike about a year ago from a gentleman in Wyoming who barely rode it and kept it in a heated garage. I have several other BMWs but who could pass up such a low mileage beauty right? I have more stuff coming in and I only have limited space so something has to go. Pros: With only 9500 miles this is like getting a new GS. Everything is clean and shiny and the engine, hubs and final drive castings have virtually zero oxidation. Under the gas tank looks almost new. The transmission shifts perfectly and there is zero driveline noise. The brakes are strong and silent. Everything you would expect for a bike that is barely broken in. All the fluids have been changed in the last 50 miles. It has new air and oil filters, and spark plugs. The valves are adjusted, heads torqued and carbs adjusted and synched. The SAS hardware has been removed so it runs cool with no lean popping. It’s got a newer Westco AGM battery. Also included is the original tool kit. Click the bike into neutral, twist the choke, push the start button and the bike fires into life and runs flawlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to ride this bike anywhere. The tires are newer Avon Gripster AM 24s with 90+% life remaining. Cons: Even though bike is very clean with super low miles it is un-restored and does show some signs of its 24 year-old age. One drawback of the super low mileage is that airheads don’t like to sit unused for long periods of time. A new owner would benefit from a top-end reseal at some point to keep everything fresh since the pushrod tube seals will weep after a long ride. There are a few rock chips here and there and the paint is rubbed in two spots on the side fairings; this is likely from tie-down straps at some point. Also, the fuel tank has one small ding (but no paint damage) about the size of a dime. I will try and show photos of these issues. Several of the plastic pieces (hand guards mostly) are showing their age and should be replaced if you are picky like me. Also, the PO told me a can of white paint got loose in his garage and got the bike on the left side…doh! I didn’t want to start scrubbing on it with chemicals so it is what it is. Are you good at rubbing out overspray? Well here's your chance! Clean and clear Utah title in my name. I have described the bike
