1976 Honda GL1000 – the Naked Gold Wing

This bike was running and looking great when I laid it down in 2013 and bent the handlebars, engine guards, and broke the tachometer. Scratched up the paint of the “false tank”. Engine turns over, but the gas has been sitting in it for a couple years now. Garage kept in southern California, it’s in reasonably good shape – all things considered.
Have collected and acquired new parts so that I have just about everything needed. “New” used headlight bezel, tachometer, engine guards, and more. Handlebars are NOT the correct ones, I believe they are from a later model because this one had the wires inside the handlebars, and the bars I picked up thinking I was going to use them do not accommodate the wires/cable.
Comes with extra oil filters, an extra radiator, Lester wheels, Corbin “Gunfighter seat - all the stuff in the pictures, and more.
I have provided some “before” pictures too so you get an idea of what you can get it back to. It really just needs to be lovingly reassembled and I just cannot ever get the time.
The person who acquires this bike will need to be able to pick it up, or arrange for pick-up, in Escondido, California (92026). I’ll help where I can, if you are hiring a shipping company I will wrap small parts in tissue and put it in boxes, etc., to help with that.
Registered in California as a 1976, this bike was assembled from three others ranging from 1976 – 1978. It is currently registered as “Non-Op” in CA, and the registration is up to date.
A true auction. Starting the bidding at $100.00.
