1989 Honda XL600V TransAlp. 26k miles. Good condition. Runs well. Very fun bike to ride, but I don’t ride it enough to keep it. All components function as expected. All electrical components work well.
Starts easily cold or hot. Clutch actuates well. No slip. Brakes good with the front rotor coming up to the wear limit soon. No leaks anywhere. Rebuilt carburetors.
Paint is good with the expected scratches due to the age of the bike. The left front and left side plastic panels do have broken tabs and are zip tied or wired to help hold in place. The panels are still too nice to replace. The seat is not stock. Extra padding was placed for the previous owners he was 6’6” tall and needed more height and support. With the thicker seat you do ride a bit higher, but the seat is a bit more comfortable.
Rear tire has about 1,000 miles on it and the front has about 3,000 miles. The previous owners kept the bike regularly maintained. It has always been garaged.
VIN is JH2PD0606KM201253. Engine number is PD06E-2201445. Looking at the Honda reference book this is a 49 state model.
