Stunning Stock and Original 1979 Honda CBX
This Special Western CBX has lived a charmed life.
I believe it had 2 previous owners between California and Nevada. She was faithfully stored on static display in a Nevada collection.
There maybe other CBXs on the market but in my humble opinion this is of the finest.
Unique opportunity to own this spectacular machine.
Often referred as the Vincent Black Shadow of its era.

I am no CBX expert. As far as I can tell never seen rain and been garaged. It has some subtle wear from 3 decades of gentle use. Almost too nice to drive. The bike is beautiful unrestored and it shows 6,840 miles and the odometer still works. Miles possibly original.. you be the judge.
She has been in and out of dry storage and currently starts on the key and runs Ok and was driven around the block several months ago. I believe most every major component to be original including the paint and decals on the tank, stickers, emblems, exhaust, seat, lines, shocks, wheels, cables lenses etc. etc. A pair of stock mirrors come with her they were just left off for display.
The CBX was most advanced entry into the competitive superbike market. A review in Cycle magazine called the CBX a "breakthrough for the Japanese motorcycle industry" and praised its design, concept, and performance.[8] The CBX was available on the market in late 1978, and the production model was even faster than the prototype.[6] The 1979 CBX could cover a quarter mile in 11.36 seconds with a terminal speed of 189.82 km/h (117.95 mph).[9] But later CBXs were detuned.[1980 and new had less power]
Current tires will need replacing due to age and comes with original tires too[in case one wishes to show in a museum]
She does have some gentle wear and patina and of course not without some minor imperfections as on should expect from an un-restored motorcycle: such as some of the nubs on driver foot pegs have flaked off, tiny ding on left rear of tank, some parts need polish, faded etc. etc., I have chosen to leave alone. front fender may have been refinished. All are hard to notice on camera or in person. She was driven a little bit some months ago and If on wishes to drive her: She certainly would benefit from normal maintenance, inspection, tuning, and new tires as would any motorcycle of this era.
Both Exhaust have numbers 422.
