This is todays 7-9-2016 pictures of what it looks like and the changes I have made I took off the pedal and changed it back to the rubber type,the seat has been change and it has over spray on the back also the pea shooters pipes are originals and sound great ! and below are the pictures back in 2014 I have made a few changes like the kick pedal and differant seat,see pics,
Rebuild 2014 1977 Triumph Front end and rear spoke Rim with only 500 miles on rebuild motor and transmission 5 speed trany with matching engine and frame numbers (I have own this since 1977) ,Fresh Everything inside the Motor,I have Completely Rebuild the Motor With NOS Cam Bushings & Timing side also,NOS SKF Drive side Main Bearing with a New RPH Drive side Main Bearing,NOS AP Big end bearing,stock cams (3130) cleaned the sluge trap and balance the crank,journals were perfect ! VGC and the cams and tappets were in excellance cond ,the jugs are .020 with nos Hepolite piston & rings (fresh bore) 500 miles 1970s eara and the pistons are AP .020 pistons in great cond about the best hepolite Pistons and as tight as it gets this motor (.005 piston clearance) It has all the good parts,No chinese Junk parts found inside this engine even the gas lines and hose clamps were USA mfg,(I only used British or USA parts) All parts used in this motor and transmission are of the highest quality I could used,The Head was in VGC valve seats were near perfect,stock valves lapped in with NOS bronze Valve Guides were tight as can be (does not smoke at all ! ) ,Bead Blasted cases and-new Valve Springs-The motor is solid and runs like new ! I'm not kidding this bike runs good on the street and highway ,I added a 1977 5 speed transmission that shifts very smoothly through all gears and no Fase neutrals-plunger type cam plate- with all nos gaskets and seals used,(1970s Gaskets) the transmission does not leak-this bike really does not leak little-a few drops only very rare to leak much (inside by the front chain -gear,I have seen a few drops from the rear breather that is normal the breather system is intact and that hose runs to the license plate,) has shown up just a few times but really no bad oil leakages,the top rockers were rebuild with the original webco rockers covers drilled and tap for an extra breathing on the front and back left side of the motor,It's a Points and condenser unit 12 voits negative ground with original lucas parts like the,yes it's not all original TR6C Motorcycle (front end and brakes) but what you have is a thrill ride that will scoot and stop on a dime,it's a blast on a curvy road also A 1/2 kick to start- bike is a one kick only,I have only one petcock on the gas tank,No gas leaks,A 1971 rear fender and Tail Light The carburetor is a Amal 930 set up like stock setting it run really good ! Reeve really good ! the 2 on one side is 1-1/2 diameter also has a baffle ,1972 speedometers and tachometer The original tank has a rat patina-Look,you can spill gas on it and it wipes right of and does no damage to the paint try to do that to a new paint job,Easy to change to a Bobber or Cafe Racer,The seat hinges with take a T140 seat ! the rear swing arm was chromed years ago,the rear fender is rough-chrome with a split on the rear-end,(see pics) ,the rear disc brake bracket (1977) was turned upward and I cut off the mounting arm and bent it backward and welded it on the other side,Find that on another bike ! Both calipers were rebuild with Lockheed kits) Yes it's a Rat Bike ,all covers were polished and NOS gaskets used,I do mean NOS gaskets nothing made in china or japan but the tite) ,all quality parts used,Paint is chipped and scratched on the frame and a few dents in the tank-as shown in the Pics,front brake master cylinder is off a 1990 daytona or sprint,all new NOS brake pads,this bike has 500 miles on it since it was completely rebuild 2014 the chrome is fair condition in places,headlight shell is fair,the original lucas harness goes to a 1971 or so with a front brake light switch,so you have front and back brake lite,also I have the headlight switch-so the headlight and parking light to turn on with no key,this could be changed by the rotory switch to be change the hot wire to another poll on that switch,All this was rebuilt 14 months ago,I have place 400 + miles on it, It's runs like a new bike,and sound VG with the side 1-1/2" diameter exhaust Also with the 5 speed trany it will cruise very well at 65 MPH-the Tank was sealed,I do not have any chinese parts on it besides the rear tire that a chin cheng ,it's new,the front is an Avon that is showing cracking but will be OK for this year (I have a new front tire Chin cheng ),The Top of the front sprocket chain gear was damage years Ago I have it Heliarc by a friend that did a rough job but it's solid and looks much better,Trident rear Chain Guard,The Right Side Mirror Does NOT GO I have only 1 mirror on It ( came off Another Triumph I own),The front fender is ratty and cool with the vintage 1950s British license plate,(New front forks and seals, the seat hinge was weded to fit a T140 seat ,you will find many faults on this and it's made to be a Rat Cycle Type- bike but the ride and sound is quality and a very solid Machine,fresh wheel bearing and tapered neck bearings the list goes on & On ! ,I have changed the exhaust to a set of Pea shooters but I cab included the set of side exhaust with it,so you get 2 sets of exhaust-change the Exhaust for any Look you Like,This is a Set I had for 30 Years and welded brackets on it,I have not drilled the 1/4" hole for the steering lock,or do I have that lock,It's an easy part to find and just drill for a steering lock ! ,the front yoke is from a 1977 T140 and that lock will fit it,it's could be change to a Bobber with just a little work ,There are so much more that i have Missed ,You could get on this bike and go anywhere !
