At our dealership we work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures. PLEASE NOTE: Both Genuine H-D and aftermarket Parts & Accessories shown in pictures of a vehicle may have been removed or changed since the pictures were originally taken; be certain to doublecheck with your salesperson the presence and condition of any accessories prior to finalizing a deal!

- Glossy Paint - Despite a LOT of evidence that this motorcycle "lived outside" the paint itself is actually still fairly glossy and with minimal sun-fading.
- Has Rock Chips - We are selling this 1997 Harley-Davidson FLSTC (a carb Heritage Softail Classic model) as a *VALUE BUY* and a *PROJECT/PARTS BIKE* primarily for the reasons noted in the separate section labeled "Mechanical," and because of the bike's barely-Fair (to Poor) cosmetic condition. The two-tone Platinum Silver/Vivid Black paint itself is actually not in too bad of shape, and the fenders & tank are largely okay, but the original H-D seat is absolutely trashed and needs to be replaced, plus: 1. The right-hand side passing lamp has been damaged, is dented, and is held together by black electrician's tape; 2. The original stock windscreen is missing; 3. The front brake lever is snapped off towards the end; 4.The rider floorboard inserts are missing altogether, and; 5. In general, there are multiple signs of weathering - bike likely was kept outside under a tarp. That said, this *VALUE BUY* will sell for cheap As-Is since it doesn't belong on our Showroom Floor, and on the positive side of the ledger it has aftermarket Kuryakyn Iso Grips w/ Throttle Boss, studded leather saddlebags with the Genuine H-D Skull Collection logo, smoked turn signal lenses, and multiple trim pieces from the Genuine H-D Live To Ride Collection. - No Visible Dents - The bike has other cosmetic issues but dents in the tins doesn't appear to be one of them!
- We had this '97 Heritage Softail washed before picture-taking and can have it cleaned again prior to either shipping or in-person pick-up.

- Starts Right Up - We are selling this 1997 Harley-Davidson FLSTC (the carb Heritage Softail Classic model with the Motor Company's bulletproof Evo motor!) as a *VALUE BUY* and a *PROJECT/PARTS BIKE* for the cosmetic reasons noted in the separate section labeled "Exterior" and for the mechanical issues noted here: 1. All Harleys that we accept as a trade-in go through our Service Dept. for a technician's check-over, and one of the first things noticed on this bike is that the throttle cable is broken and needs to be replaced along with (possibly) the right-side hand grip and (certainly) the front brake lever; 2. Also, while the bike will fire right up (it was the previous owner's only form of transportation prior to the throttle cable break!) it should have SEVERAL oil leaks/weeps addressed, including; 3. There's an oil leak from the inner primary and the primary cover / inspection cover / and clutch cover gaskets should be replaced - cheap on Parts, but Labor-intensive; 4. The base gaskets are similarly leaking - again easy on Parts cost but long on Labor; 5. The clutch cable is leaking; 6. The lifter oil filter plug is leaking; 7. One of the shocks is leaking; 8. The lifter oil filter plug is leaking, and; 9. It's due for a new Front tire. As in this case, when we determine that required repairs don't make sense in light of Parts and Technician's Time (Labor - mostly Labor) vs. the book value of a motorcycle we try to sell these bikes As-Is before sending them to auction - hope that someone with time & ability & knowledge to do repairs themselves can be happy with a Good Deal. PLEASE NOTE: Once this determination is made we ALSO stop looking for additional issues, so this list may or may not be comprehensive - can schedule your own in-person inspection by calling Brent @ 512-422-0761! Now, with all of those mechanical negatives/areas of concern noted do be advised this '97 Heritage DOES start up and there are no engine or transmission noises - powertrain is functional and this bike was a Daily Rider for the prior owner. Out of State Buyers
Out of state buyers are not charged tax, title, or license if paying cash or arranging their own financing; customer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their home state under this scenario. Out of state buyers using Cowboy Harley-arranged financing WILL be charged TT&L appropriate to their home state and these taxes/fees will be paid on their behalf. Documentary fees and Texas V.I.T. do apply in either case.
Taxes and Fees
In-state buyers will be charged state and local taxes, title, registration, and documentary fees. Our documentation fee is $125. All sales transactions must be completed within 7 days of auction close.
Deposit
We require a $500 deposit within 3 days of winning the auction of a pre-owned motorcycle (OR BEFORE THE END OF THE CALENDAR MONTH, whichever occurs first). A $1,000 deposit is required on any new bike. Please call the dealership to make arrangements for payment.
Auction Policies
Customers with zero or negative feedback on eBay Motors please contact us prior to bidding. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your bid. Understand this is only to protect the integrity of the auction. Winning bidder must contact the dealership within 24 hours of the auction close, make payment of a security deposit within 3 days (OR BEFORE THE END OF THE CALENDAR MONTH, whichever occurs first), and the purchase transaction completed within 7 calendar days. We reserve the right to re-list or sell the vehicle in the event of a no-contact/non-paying bidder.
Buyer Pickup
A representative from our dealership can be available for pickup at area airports or bus terminals when necessary. Buyers must schedule pickup prior to making travel arrangements.
