Just picked up this 1974 Kawasaki Z1 ( KZ 900)  vin # 1zf-030499 Last month from a 78 year man. He was the original owner bought back on april 5th 1974. We have registration which most states will honor as a title but please check with your dmv to make sure. I bought on 8-1-13 Bike starts right up and runs and drives. He had registered it this year and inspected it but the bike has several oil leaks and needs attention forks seals are leaking also. Just hold the choke and it fires right up he said you have to leave on a for a minute when driving then it is ready to go. it was lowered but he had original shocks so we adjusted the fork tubes back up and put stock rear shocks back on. Bike has 146,029 miles yes he said he rolled the odometer Said he never had over 75 mostly 55 mph on back roads in central maine. we have paperwork from 1974 when he bought in and current 2013 registration. Has aftermarket exhaust and crash bars, seat has rips and needs to be recovered also right side cover emblem is taped on. Gas tank is clean inside but is faded. all blinkers have damage and mirrors are not stock and are damaged. This is sold strickly as is where is and is located in palmyra me 04965 we will not end auction early so please don't ask brakes work fine. we used 2 cans of engine degreaser trying to clean up and it still needs more. we can crate and ship to any business address with loading dock or fork truck in the usa or ups freight terminal for $600 Local pick up is more than welcome. bike does run and drive but we don't reccomend pick up with out a truck.
