XB12R Sportbike This is the 25th anniversary edition. This bike is in AMAZING condition and only 7,439 mis on it!This Bike has never seen the track! All maintenance has been kept up by a Harley certified mechanic. The tires have less than 500mis on them. Included are 2 helmets, a mens Black Shoei and a womens helmet. 2 jackets, one leather mens jacket and the other womens jacket. There is also a storage bag that clips to the back over the set and a brand new bike cover that has never been taken out of the bag. The only time it has been parked out side is when I took it out. Other than that it stays in my gorage. The back seat has a hard plastic cover if no 1 is riding with you. The bike was rgisterd this January so there is almost a year left on it. The XB12R utilizes a compact wheelbase and race-inspired chassis geometry for nimble, intuitive handling. The 1203cc Thunderstorm V-Twin engine makes 103 peak horsepower at 6800 rpm, and 84 feet. lbs. of peak torque at 6000 rpm, with 75 percent of peak torque available at 3500 rpm. The InterActive Exhaust system utilizes a valve in the dual-chamber muffler that is controlled by the ECM and adjusts exhaust flow according to riding conditions to smooth torque delivery and optimize engine power. Tue, 03 Feb 2009What could be considered this generation’s Harold and Kumar, a pair of Swarthmore College engineering students have designed and built an experimental hydrogen fuel cell-powered “motorcycle.” Sourcing parts from what looks to be an early generation Buell Lightning and the unearthed remnants of Robby the Robot, the duo may have just created the World’s quietest and slowest two-wheeled grant-waster. Constructed with the intent to “evaluate the viability of a hydrogen economy by studying real-world data,” the two-man team says that once the experiment yields the likely results that anyone who uses a hydrogen-powered vehicle is a homo, results predicted by the pair’s Alpha Beta member roommate, they’ll abandon any legitimate research efforts and just use it to follow women that would normally avoid them. “Since it doesn’t make any noise we’ll get a lot closer to the girls before they have a chance to formulate lame excuses to leave,” said the elder of the two.
