Here's a sweet review from the above link:

I've been riding 45 years, owned at least 20 bikes, the XB12XT is at the top. Better than my Star Roadliner (2006 cruiser bike of the year), better than my 2009 BMW R1200GS (perennial best adventure bike). These Buells can be had for a song now. By far the most enjoyable riding bike in my collection. Also the smoothest running (except the idle, which is pure Harley). The XB12XT is fast and fun. Although not a straight line speed demon, acceleration off corners is as good or better than anything I've ridden.  Eric Buell's team nailed this design. It's the best on the market today, bar none. Zero maintenance, built like a tank. Just throw some Amsoil in the cases and ride it like you stole it. Harley really fouled up when they stopped making the Ulysses, it's the best all around bike in their entire inventory.

Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

    Tue, 18 Feb 2014

World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.
