2007 Buell XB1200S Lightning, With its tweaked Harley-Davidson 1200cc Sportster engine and nimble chassis, the Lightning XB12S is the all-rounder in Buell's line-up. The torquey Thunderstorm V-twin engine is housed in a rigid perimeter frame.
Wheelbase is an ultra-short, and combined with a steep steering head angle, this makes the XB12S a blast through back lanes and city streets.

Thu, 15 Oct 2009Update Nov 13: Last Buell Motorcycle Rolls Off the Line An emotional Erik Buell has posted a video on the Buell Motorcycle site officially announcing that Harley-Davidson has shut down all Buell motorcycle production. Erik Buell Racing Teams with Hero MotoCorp
Wed, 22 Feb 2012In a case of East meets West, Hero MotoCorp has signed a partnership agreement with Erik Buell Racing that will see the Indian manufacture sponsor the EBR AMA Superbike team and potentially introduce Buell-designed motorcycles to India. Hero MotoCorp will sponsor riders Danny Eslick and Geoff May and their EBR 1190RS race bikes in the AMA Superbike Championship. Eslick will represent Team Hero while May will represent AMSOIL Hero.
