Buell Lightning description

I am selling my 2010 Buell XB9SX.984cc. Only 5900 original miles. Black.

This is the last year Buell made this model. Harley still covers all parts and service. Very unique.
I am the second owner and I bought it with only 900 miles on it. Clean title in hand.
It is mostly stock. I put on a slip-on D&D exhaust which sounds great. Sounds like a Harley VTwin.
I also modified the tail piece to get rid of the bulky license plate/brake light holder. The plate is now tucked underneath the seat. (Tail delete)
Only synthetic AMSOIL used, and change it once or twice a year.
New bar-end mirrors. Stock mirrors are included.
I removed the rear foot pegs and brackets because I don't have passengers. They are included in the sale.
I have NEVER had any issue with this bike and I have never laid it down or tipped it over. EVER. Starts first time, even in cold weather.
I am including everything that came with the bike new and also a tank-bag if wanted for free.
Pictures included have a white cloth over the license plate.
The bike is very fast, sounds great and gets a lot of looks because of the "crotch rocket" looks and VTwin sound. Not many like it.
I hate to see it go but it just isn't getting enough attention anymore. This is a very rare bike and hard to find in such great condition with low miles.

Thanks.

AMSOIL Giving Away a 2014 Erik Buell Racing 1190RX

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Synthetic lubricant company AMSOIL has been a sponsor of Erik Buell Racing for a few years now, backing the fellow Wisconsin-based company’s racing efforts since 2011. Now that EBR has started mass production of the 1190RX streetbike, AMSOIL is continuing the partnership by giving one away. A 2014 EBR 1190RX is the grand prize of the AMSOIL Building Legends Sweepstakes, which runs now through Nov.

Erik Buell Featured on Entrepreneur.com

Sat, 25 Feb 2012

Entrepreneur.com, the web presence of Entrepreneur magazine, has a feature article on Erik Buell and his Erik Buell Racing (EBR) company. While the article reveals some lack of knowledge of the two-wheeled world by overusing the term “crotch rocket” as the generic description for sportbikes, this is forgivable considering it’s coming from a publication specializing in small businesses and, well, entrepreneurs, and not motorcycles. The article otherwise does a good job of giving a brief but broad synopsis of Buell and the triumphs and tragedies encountered with BMC (Buell Motorcycle Company) — it’s a good primer on Buell if you’re not fully up to speed on Buell’s life in motorcycles.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.
