Buell Lightning description

The perfect 1st sport/naked bike or Harley sport bike. Better suspension than an XR and as fast with better brakes! 983 cc V-twin HD based engine with Eric Buell tuning, radial mounted front brake. All original condition, no mods except an LED license plate frame. Ergonomics are relaxed compared to CBR/Ninja/GSX-R or R bikes with motard/motocross upright bars and hand guards (bark busters). Just over 7k miles (picture is when I bought it). I'm the 3rd owner. 1st two put just over 2k on it. Fresh oil change with Mobil 1 VOLT-twin full synthetic. Great 1st bike but I'm wanting to move up. No test rides without an "M" on your license, money and proof of insurance in hand. Call Mark at, leave a message and I'll return your call in the evening to make arrangement to see.

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Erik Buell Racing released another teaser image of its upcoming new production streetbike, revealing a new headlight design with twin LEDs. The teaser image (see the full image below) is thick with shadows so we can’t see very much else beyond the front tire, part of an upside-down fork and a glint of a brake lever. The headlight however is the clear focal point of the photograph.
