Buell Lightning description

2007 Buell Lightning XB12SCG, Love this bike but moving soon and don't have a garage to keep it in any longer. I am the second owner and purchased this bike at 1,500. It now has 10,100 miles on the odometer. Always Garage kept. New Michelin powersports put on last fall. Mechanically speaking I have had no issues with the bike other than replacing the stator about 3k ago. No issues since. Please call/text to see. No joyrides. Insurance on this bike much cheaper than typical crotch rockets. I have been paying only 300 for an entire year. Plugs and oil changed last fall. I have a summer jacket and a winter jacket I could throw in for a bit extra as well as 2 helmets. Bike has helmet lock on the handle bar. I have replaced the mirrors with side mirrors. I am missing the left side mirror as it came off somewhere on the Cherohala skway last month and I haven't felt the need to replace. Bike HAS NEVER BEEN DOWN. $6,000.00 8652168302

Geoff May To Ride EBR 1190RX In 2014 World Superbike Championship

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

During the AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida last week, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) took the covers off its latest sportbike, the 1190RX. The company also announced it would be taking the 1190RX directly to World Superbike competition in 2014, with Geoff May the team’s number one rider. Joining the world championship was a dream both May and Buell talked about regularly, dating back to when May first joined the team in 2010 riding the 1125R, so clearly both parties are excited about the season ahead.

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.

Anyone checked if Erik Buell is feeling alright?
