Buell Firebolt description

2008 Grandeur Pro Street Bagger. The frame is a Rolling Thunder Chassis. It has a T-Man Performance 131" twin cam fully polished motor complete with his CNC'ed heads, cams, and all of his other goodies that he does. The motor dyno'ed at 148hp and 157 ft tq on a conservative tune and it is also fuel injected. The transmission is a Baker 6 speed. Over this past winter I put PM Heathen chrome wheels (19 x 3 front and 17 x 6 rear ) along with there matching rotors in chrome. The calipers are also PM chrome 4-piston rear and a 6-piston front. Grandeur also put 4" of stretch in the rear and repaired any chip, scratch, etc. at a cost of 6500.00 for labor alone. All of the parts came to total of more than 4500.00. I have put less than 250 miles on it since this was done. The rear tire is a Shinko Hook Up and the front is a Dunlop Harley tire. The front suspension consist of a custom cartridge built type chrome forks. The rear suspension are Progressive shocks. The rear fender, front fender, tank, and side frame covers are all steel and the paint work is very slick. The forward controls are PM and the hand controls are PM as well all in chrome. The exhaust is RB racing. It has cruise control also. I know I am leaving a lot out, there is just simply too much to list

College Pair Build Two-Wheel Clothes Dryer

Tue, 03 Feb 2009

What could be considered this generation’s Harold and Kumar, a pair of Swarthmore College engineering students have designed and built an experimental hydrogen fuel cell-powered “motorcycle.” Sourcing parts from what looks to be an early generation Buell Lightning and the unearthed remnants of Robby the Robot, the duo may have just created the World’s quietest and slowest two-wheeled grant-waster. Constructed with the intent to “evaluate the viability of a hydrogen economy by studying real-world data,” the two-man team says that once the experiment yields the likely results that anyone who uses a hydrogen-powered vehicle is a homo, results predicted by the pair’s Alpha Beta member roommate, they’ll abandon any legitimate research efforts and just use it to follow women that would normally avoid them. “Since it doesn’t make any noise we’ll get a lot closer to the girls before they have a chance to formulate lame excuses to leave,” said the elder of the two.

The story behind the 2010 Buell Blast Motorcycle [video]

Wed, 05 Aug 2009

If you haven’t heard, or have seen the new 2010 Buell Blast, you should check it out before viewing the video below. Buell has re-branded itself over the last month or so and have been taking a very close look at themselves.  Not only did they change their logo, but they decided to put to rest a motorcycle that just didn’t fit what they really wanted to be making.  Sport bikes. So the 2010 Buell Blast is a crushed hunk of metal signifying the end of that model.  There will be no Blast in the future so don’t hold your breath!
