Buell Blast description
This
is a 2000 Buell Blast in very good condition and has been customized for better
performance, it also happens to be the first year this model came into
production. The
bike is original except for the following performance upgrades: Superbrace fork
stabilizer, Vance & Hines pipe, Buell pro series K&N open air cleaner
assembly, DC custom superboot for carb intake support. The carburetor has been
re-jetted to accommodate for the exhaust and open air cleaner upgrades. The
seat has been re-done, in addition a throttle "cruise control" lock
has been installed; 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum billet 1 inch lowered footpegs by Knight Design also a set of bar ends made from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. These upgrades make this bike quite
comfortable on those long rides or make it for a great commuter bike.
It’s recently had an oil
change / maintenance and a set of new tires has been installed on it.
The engine is a 500 cc single, based on using one cylinder from a Harley
Davidson V-twin. It has a low maintenance belt final drive instead of a chain,
and a 5-speed transmission.
This is a very reliable bike, handles extremely well. Also included owner’s manual, factory service manual the (CA) tags are good through May
2014.

Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
2013 AIMExpo: EBR to Distribute Hero Motorcycles in North America
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Erik Buell Racing (EBR) announced at the 2013 AIMExpo that it will be distributing Hero brand motorcycles and scooters in North America. Specific models to be offered and pricing details have yet to be determined. “The actual EBR collaboration with Hero MotoCorp began in late 2011, when we were contracted to deliver a concept hybrid scooter for Hero in record time for the January 2012 Delhi show,” says EBR founder Erik Buell.
