The Machine: This is a 2009 Buell 1125 R with less than 11,000 miles. 1125 cc V-Twin engine, Fuel Injection, 6 speed transmission, steel braided brake cables, Drummer exhaust. Rear swingarm spools (to accommodate a rear wheel stand). This is one of the fastest and most popular Buell motorcycles ever made so buy with confidence. The only negative is the left side mirror housing is cracked. Other than that this bike is clean and mean!!

The Price: The price is $6499. The purchaser is also responsible for a $99.50 (administrative processing fee) and a $159 (service inspection and diagnostics fee). Depending on state of residence, sales tax may also apply. MI residents must pay 6% sales tax. The purchaser is also responsible for any and all applicable local, county, state or federal taxes/fees that may apply including, but not limited to title, registration and plate fees.

Terms: This vehicle is for sale locally in our dealership as well and the listing may be cancelled at any time pending sale online or in-store. Those wishing to finance must call me to submit a credit application and be pre-approved for financing BEFORE bidding on an item. Buyers with less than 5 positive feedbacks must contact me to make arrangements for payment and to assure me of your seriousness as a buyer before bidding on an item or making a purchase. A winning bid is considered a legally binding contract and the purchaser is responsible for the following terms:

1) A non-refundable partial payment of $500 is required within 24 hours of purchase.

2) You must provide me with a valid e-mail address or fax# so that I can send receipts to be signed. I cannot proceed with the sale, remove the vehicle from the market or end the listing until those documents are signed and returned to me. NO EXCEPTIONS

3) Full Payment is due within 7 days of purchase. If full payment is not received within 7 days and you, the purchaser, have failed to make arrangements with me prior to the end of those 7 days, then the partial payment will be forfeited and the vehicle made available for sale once again.

4) Acceptable forms of payment are wire transfer (U.S. funds only), bank loan check, certified check or cash (in person when you pick up the vehicle.) If you pay by check then you must wait until the check clears before we can finalize the sale.

5) The purchaser must be able to provide me with 2 pieces of identification upon request. These policies are in place to protect you, the consumer and to prevent identity theft. Copies of identification sent MUST BE LEGIBLE.

TRADE-INS: I can only give trade-in value if the vehicle is in my possession for a service inspection. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. Feel free to e-mail me pictures of your trade-in but I will not attempt to assess value until the vehicle is here.

Erik Buell Racing Teams with Hero MotoCorp

In a case of East meets West, Hero MotoCorp has signed a partnership agreement with Erik Buell Racing that will see the Indian manufacture sponsor the EBR AMA Superbike team and potentially introduce Buell-designed motorcycles to India. Hero MotoCorp will sponsor riders Danny Eslick and Geoff May and their EBR 1190RS race bikes in the AMA Superbike Championship. Eslick will represent Team Hero while May will represent AMSOIL Hero.

Hero MotoCorp Forms Joint Venture with Magneti Marelli

Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is teaming up with electronic fuel injection expert Magneti Marelli in a new joint venture. Hero will hold a 60% share in the company with Magenti Marelli controlling the other 40%. The two companies are initially investing a combined US$8.5 million into the joint venture, with a planned investment of US$27 million total over the next ten years.

Before festivities on track get started, however, here’s your chance to meet Dainese-sponsored rider Geoff May as the D-Store Chicago will be hosting a meet and greet on Thursday, May 30, starting at 4pm. The event will include raffle prizes, with proceeds benefitting W.I.N.G.S., an organization providing integrated services to families, in an effort to end domestic violence and homelessness.
