BSA Lightning description

1966 BSA Lightning 650 A65L Motorcycle for sale. RPM meter works, speedo does not work, so Miles on bike are unknown but motor starts within one or two kicks so the motor is still pretty strong. All the electrical works expect for the low beam on the main headlight blub. It has new Carburators, air filters, spark plugs, petcock corks, and battery.

Chrome is still in pretty nice original condition for the age of the motorcycle. It needs a new back tire(as seen in photo),so far bike bandit has the cheapest price for the original style dunlop tire. Shifter has some play in it from being an old bike, but still shifts through all gears.

If you have ANY questions about the motorcycle please ask.

Cash only for payment, no paypal. Engine oil, primary chain case, and gear box oil were changed but would recommened changing the Engine oil again soon.

The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!

Tue, 02 Jun 2009

According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run.  Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake.  Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump.
