1965 BSA A65L 650 Lightning. VIN# A50B-6069 Engine# A65DC-3374 Clear Indiana title. One owner since 1968. Last ran 4 years ago. Sold non-running, I have not tried. Engine kicks over and has good compression. Brakes, clutch, throttle, and transmission are in working order. Some surface rust in areas. Nice clean engine, no broken fibs.Solid clean fuel tank. Original seat and tires. All original bike, complete minus front fender. Solid and clean frame. Original 6V electrical still intact. Great, unmolested bike. Restore or refresh and ride as is. There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s.  I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.

At last we have a brand new model of the beloved brand: after the success of Royal Enfield and Jawa, the British BSA has returned to service. The single-cylinder classic Gold Star will enter the European market - a spiritual successor to the original company's lineup, but with a completely modern filling. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, a working volume of 652 cm3.
