BSA A10 Super Rocket description

1959 BSA A10 Super Rocket (USA spec) Rare Dual-Carb Motorcycle 650cc
  • Twin Amal carbureted aluminum cylinder head. It is an extremely rare piece and very few examples of the dual carb head exist today. More common were a cast alloy single carb design. 
  • The stamping number on the head is 67-1106 G54 AM. 
  • All fins on cylinder head and cylinder barrels are perfect. 
  • Bike underwent a complete mechanical renovation done by Wes at Wes Scott Cycles 10 years ago.
  • Engine, cylinder head/valvetrain, gearbox, clutch/primary, brakes.
  • Has been driven less that 60 km since renovation.
  • Original period Akront aluminum wheels.
  • Original period Smith clocks. Both are working perfectly.
  • Boyer electric ignition conversion.
  • I have the original bars but not the seat or rear shocks.
  • Fuel petcocks are leaking from shrunken cork plungers inside.
  • Engine has been kicked over frequently to keep everything moving.
  • With carb bowls full of fuel the bike starts and runs with no issue. 
  • The bike was driven for the last time on the road 2 years ago and ran great.
  • Fuel tank has some scratches in the paint from movement around the bike.
  • Rear stop lamp has a crack on the side of the lens.
  • Fuel tank has varnish built up from sitting over the years in storage.
  • Chrome on front fender is ok but could use some improvement to match the perfect chrome on the engine, rear fender and tank.
  • The chain guard is missing.
  • Has odometer reads 39452 miles, but I can't confirm this is accurate.
  • The bike has been stored with fresh fluids but recommend changing. 
  • The bike has relocated with me and will be sold from Sweden with the original Florida title. All documents are in my name.

What’s Old Is New Again – Video

There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s.  I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
