2013 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Report

The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.

The first release from One World Studio, Choppertown: The Sinners, is a documentary film about garage-built motorcycles that also follows the renowned hot rod and motorcycle club the Sinners. The second release, Brittown: A British Motorcycle, documents legendary underground mechanic and Britbike connoisseur “Meatball” from the Hell On Wheels bike shop in Anaheim, CA. The latest release by award winning directors, Scott Di Lalla and Zack Coffman comes, The Harbortown Bobber, which was two years in the making will be released in July 2009. LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Moves To Malibu

The 2014 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show continues for its 23rd year with the Calendar Bike Building Championship, Concours d’ Elegance, top celebrity builders, selected vendors and exhibitors, and the Calendar Girl music show. As always, the show will kick off the world premier of next year’s new 2015 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars featuring the world’s top road race and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens featured in the calendars in attendance at the show. The Calendar Show relocates this year to the beautiful green event lawn of the exclusive Malibu Golf Course, located at 901 Encinal Canyon Road.
