BMW R-Series description

3 year warranty unlimited mileage  (transferrable)  That is better than anything you get on a new bike.  "Cold" starts cause more wear on an engine than hundreds of miles of riding.  Engine does not burn oil, I'll say it again, this engine does not burn oil!

Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA): You push a button to change the shock stiffness (damping/re-damping) and ride height.  It is 3 bikes in one.You can go from riding on marshmallows for the interstate to lowering and stiffening the suspension front and rear for the twisties by pushing a button!    This is truly the Swiss-Army knife of motorcycles.  It does everything well!

Thumbs up for a chilly N.E.C.

Wed, 08 Dec 2010

Apart from the freaky weather I have to say last week’s Carole Nash Motorcycle Live N.E.C. show was the best Birmingham event I've attended in the ten years. I really appreciate the fact that manufacturers chose to ignore the recession giving us great stands to cater for every enthusiast young and old.  Aprilia made a welcome return and I don’t know anyone that didn’t enjoy admiring the WSB RSV4, surely the the most gorgeous bike on the planet? The Honda stand rarely disappoints and this year was no exception with banking bikes providing fun for all the family.

Naked BMW S1000RR Spotted Testing in Italy – Video

Wed, 29 May 2013

Italian site Motociclismo.it has published a video of what appears to be a naked version of the BMW S1000RR being tested on public roads in Rovereto, Italy. The test model was dressed in camouflage and appears to be close to being ready for production, especially compared to the earlier prototype spotted testing last summer. We expect BMW will officially unveil this S1000RR-based streetfighter at either the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, or the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, later this fall.
