BMW R-Series description
The Bike is in overall great condition, the ABS light does flash until its button is pushed or both brakes are engaged at the same time. I'm told this is normal. The bike does come with the optional saddlebags and trunk/passenger backrest. All servicing for this motorcycle has been done by Hermy's BMW in Port Clinton .PA and with the Vin number they can verify all services are up too date for it, as I am the second owner. I have only put 1100 miles on it since purchase due to deployments , but rode it this morning and everything is fine with it.The bike is for local pickup only and will sign over title upon payment and pickup. It's a great bike , I just can't afford 2 bikes anymore. Thanks!

Gold Rush
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Spotted at this year's Motorcycle Live. The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.
USA Four Corners Tour Tracked On Google Earth
Tue, 21 May 2013Ain’t technology amazing? In 2010, Bill Royal and his friend Larry, both members of the Iron Butt Association, decided to take part in the USA Four Corners Tour, sanctioned by the Southern California Motorcycling Association. He logged the trip on his GPS and later uploaded it to Google Earth.
Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show
Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
