OFFERED, THE CLASSIC TOASTER TANK BMW. THIS BIKE SHOWS HIGH MILAGE BUT HAS HAD ENGINE WORK DONE 15 YEARS AGO AS TOLD TO ME THE THE OWNER. MOST NOTABLY WAS THE VALVE SEAT RETROFIT ALONG WITH OTHER TOP END WORK.. THIS MOTORCYCLE LOOKS GREAT & RUNS THE SAME.. THE COLOR IS A PETROL BLUE REMINISENT OF THE FIRST 100RS BIKES.. CHROME PANELS & SIDE COVERS ARE VERY NICE.. THE PIN STRIPES ARE BURIED BENEATH THE CLEAR COAT....... THIS BIKE WAS STORED FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS EFFECTIVELY BUT WAS STARTED AND USED WHEN THE OWNERS VACATIONED FROM GERMANY.. ////// IT IS MISSING THE KICK START LEVER FOR SOME REASON. // THE TURNSIGNALS MAY OR MAYNOT BE CORRECT... THE TANK HAD BEEN TREATED IN THE PAST( UGH!!), AND IS FAILING.. THIS IS NOT AFFECTING THE FUEL FLOW AND MAY OR MAY NOT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED IN THE FUTURE... THE TIRES WHILE SPORTING GREAT TREAD HAVE SOME MINOR CHECKING STARTING ON THE SIDEWALLS,,, I DID A 100 MILE TRIP WITHOUT INCIDENT. <<<<<< NOTHING FANCY , JUST A STRAIGHT FORWARD SLASH 5 FROM BACK IN THE DAY... 2014 BMW R1200GS Adventure Revealed
Mon, 07 Oct 2013BMW has updated its R1200GS Adventure for 2014, giving it similar updates introduced on the R1200GS including the liquid-cooled 1170cc boxer engine. The more off-road capable version of the GS now has more power than ever before, as well as the option of coming with BMW’s semi-active suspension.
