I have a 1966 R60/2 for sale. Its in great shape for its age with some surface rust on the chrome.I purchased this bike about a year ago from an individual who bought a storage unit and this was inside. He had it about 6 months before he sold it to me. All the research I have done and talking to the old timers lead me to believe that is an original custom built from the factory. I thought that these bikes only came white or black with painted trim to match. The bike from my knowledge and about 6 months of trying to track the history on this bike has never been registered. I have a Texas bonded title which means no one can claim the bike. Once someone buys this bike the title will be clear. The toolkit is not with the bike but when I opened the side of the tank there was a patch kit in it (pictured below). I have gone through the carbs and changed the oil. I have a new coil and battery on it. The fuel petcock drips but I have ordered a new Karcoma to replace it. I have driven the bike about 350 miles to make sure everything is in working order. Its a BMW of course it runs perfect. I am not the GREAT BMW GURU so anything I have metioned about the bike is from research. Feel free to email questions or info about the bike. Thanks for looking.

BMW Begins Motorcycle Production in Thailand
Thu, 28 Nov 2013BMW has opened a new motorcycle assembly line at the company’s factory in Thailand. The facility will initially only produce F800R roadsters from complete knock-down kits for the Thai market, though BMW plans to eventually make the facility a production hub for other Asian markets. The Thai facility is BMW’s first wholly-owned motorcycle assembly plant outside of Germany, though the company does share facilities in Manaus, Brazil with local manufacturer DAFRA Motos.

There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine.
