BMW R-Series description

Hello and thanks for looking.

Nice old 89 R100GS. 50,000 miles and runs great. Well maintained. Bike has been lowered with Works shock. I have original shock as well and bike can be brought back to original. Beautiful ride and strong runner. Avon tires have only a few hundred, newBMW battery just installed. New bulbs in PIAAs as well. Heated grips.

Injury forces sale of bike. Otherwise I would not sell. No sense in letting it sit in the garage.

BMW showed the electric scooter of the future

Fri, 05 May 2017

Motorrad Concept Link is a two-wheeled gadget that understands its owner. An electric propulsion system with a traction battery located in the lower part of the “body” and a motor that transmits traction to the rear wheel via a belt drive is far from the most remarkable aspect of the concept. For example, it has a stretched wheelbase and reverse gear.

BMW Streamlines WSBK Program, Hands Reins to BMW Italia

Mon, 16 Jul 2012

BMW announced it realigning its World Superbike Championship program, with BMW Motorrad Italia taking over as the company’s factory team in 2013. The German manufacturer is currently represented by two teams in the WSBK championship, the BMW Motorrad with Marco Melandri and Leon Haslam and the BMW Motorrad Italia Goldbet team represented by Michel Fabrizio and Ayrton Badovini (there is also a privateer effort of Mark Aitchison riding a BMW S1000RR for the Grillini Progea team.) Next year however, BMW’s Milan-based Italian arm will be responsible for the factory team as well as chassis development and testing. BMW Motorrad itself will focus on developing the power train and electronics.
