This bike was owned and maintained by a BMW master technician who worked at the local dealership and was recently serviced by a friend and fellow technician. This bike came with heated grips, saddle bags w/slim lids, color matched seat cowl,carbon fiber fender, also carbon fiber- starter cover, 3 piece belly pan set and rear fender, aftermarket center stand for the belly pan set and Ohlin shocks and Spiegler stainless steel brake and clutch lines. These are developing an almost cult following ( I ride one), great bikes and this a super clean example.

It started life as a R/80rt & had a full fairing so a lot of weigh has been removed, it's less than 400lbs now and has a great power to weight ratio and real good balance due to the low center of gravity with it's boxer engine and with it's dual Brembo brakes it stops on a dime. Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
