BMW R1100GS Loaded for Adventure Travel (1999)
Motorcycle has 107,000 miles, fully equipped for Dual Sport Touring and in excellent mechanical condition. Burns no oil, has always had Mobil 1 since break in, all maintenance when required and current with spline lube last winter. Maintenance records come with photos of the periodic maintenance. Lots of power, doesn't need any work but could use tune up like sync carbs. In Alaska I road with another BMW GS that had 180,000 miles and no sign of wearing out. Excellent road touring bike and for long distances on dirt roads. High load capacity with lots of torque for long distances in comfort. Bike had had only two owners who have both taken the bike to Alaska and are BMWMOA members. For sale is my like new 2016 BMW R1200RS. This is the exciting new model that is both a continuation of the BMW RS tradition and a departure from the latest BMW touring bikes. One would expect a stripped down RT with all the touring amenities and the telelever front suspension, but instead BMW based the RS on the latest R1200R, so a standard fork is fitted to the front and lightness is the key: no motorized adjustable windshield, even the saddlebags are lighter than the touring bikes. It turns out that at my age, I need to be riding a couch, so I should have gotten an RT. For all the info you need on this new model, Revzilla has an excellent review. Fully loaded with all available options, the Touring Package, Keyless Ride, GPS prep and Gear Assist Pro. As options, the bike comes with OEM hard saddlebags and engine guards. 2010 BMW S1000RR currently set up for track days or club racing. Suspension is stock but has been revalved and set up for a 170 lb rider. Bike is very stable and handles well at speed, no issues at all. Motor is stock , only mods to bike are Bazzaz engine management system with tune, Sato rearsets and Arrow full system. I have most stock parts including signals and pssgr foot pegs so converting it back to street trim shouldn't be too difficult.. Bike is currently registered in CA as a non op track bike. Cosmetically it has been on the track has some scuffs and dings , body work is not perfect, but it is priced accordingly. I know very little about the bikes history. I bought it with 10000 miles on it from an AFM racer who used it as I have , as a street and occas track day bike. He claims to have never raced the bike or laid it down, but I cant guarantee this. I have never crashed on this bike and put another nearly 9k trouble free miles on it. I just did the very expensive 18000 mile service. The bike has no warranty expressed or implied, however if you find that I have misrepresented it in any way you can return it to me within 1 wk of purchase. If you are local, contact me for a test ride. Bike is super fast , more than I can handle for sure . Dunlop slicks have about 10 laps on them. The good: I've got a beautiful and rare 1959 R26 BMW up for sale that is an all triple matching serial number (363195) bike. It just had a ton of work done including a fresh top end motor rebuild and the transmission was also rebuild ($3,500 worth of work completed by Scottie's Workshop in Santa Clara, Ca.) A bunch of upgrades too like new handle bars, single side mirror, new exhaust pipe, Pagusa saddle style seat (comes with original twin seat as well!), some original tools included, upgraded timing chain guide (making the bike run quieter), points/plug, new main seal, new piston rings, emptied slingers, fresh fluids, cool black and yellow plate that reads "1959 BMW", lots of receipts, original owner's manual, everything works, runs great and have a clear title in hand.
