     Up for sale we have a rear harder to find 2004 BMW R1200C Montauk.  We are a BMW motorcycle dealership & we acquired this motorcycle in trade recently from a store client of ours.  The features on this BMW include heated grips, and ABS Brakes.  This 1200cc BMW motorcycle is in very good condition both mechanically & cosmetically.  There is some pitting visible on the front fender & some rust on the edge of the gas cap (see close up images).  There is also some minor scratches visible throughout the motorcycle, and the left rear turn signal has been repaired.  Otherwise, there is only normal wear on the hand grips & rest of motorcycle.      Many after market extras.  New windshield, leather seats, Jessie Bags, crash bar, new grips, LED dash lamps.  Well maintained and runs great.  Overall great condition.  There are some very minor scratches on the tank, and some rust in the joints of the handlebars.  The seat is aftermarket leather and it is a little worn, but is still in relativity good shape and firm. The bike has been dealer (have receipts)//user maintained and runs great there are no mechanical problems.  The tires have quite a bit of tread left.  I am the second owner and have the original owners manual a two keys.  Had BMW dealer perform thorough inspection at 57,434 miles.  59,561 miles now.     Got this bike over twenty years ago and shortly after decided to restore it. when i got it it had rusted exhaust,short in the electrical system and all sorts of there issues...I went with stainless steel exhaust,new cables,wheels were sent out and came with stainless spokes,new tires , cylinder heads were updated to a needle bearings style rocker arms,new rings ,reseated valves ,powder coated frame,new clutch ,all new cables, polished forks,powder coated seat base .....When i got the bike it had  17k miles and it had sat outside for a while so it needed most of what was done to it.I went to DMV and the did all the paperwork and of course the title came back with 725550k miles They said that they needed to see the bike to correct it well it was apart so that never got done...The title says 72555miles the odometer with a broken needle says 24565The bike will need tires,battery,rubber grips you decide....It will run and it started on the third kick after sitting 4 years. I was just kicking it to get the oil going before starting it an there it went so with the jumper battery all the electrics work.All in all it can be an easy restoration project and a nice ride for the summer...I would like to see it gone since it is not getting used and it is a waste..Have way too many other bikes and this one just sits in the barn collecting dust.

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.

Expect Y-AMT on the MT-09 and other sporty streetbikes Yamaha announced a new automatic transmission system, joining the list of manufacturers introducing some form of electronic gear shifting technology following Honda, BMW, and KTM. The Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT) system allows for quick shifting without the need for a manual clutch lever, with Yamaha claiming more consistently faster and precise shifting than the latest quickshifters currently available. Y-AMT isn’t Yamaha’s first foray into automatic shifting.

A new entry-level class will debut in 2026 The World Supersport 300 championship is on its penultimate lap, with the entry-level racing series set to end following the 2025 racing season. According to an announcement from the Superbike Commission which sets the regulations for production-based racing, the 300 class will be replaced by a new entry-level series for 2026 and beyond. At a micro level, the news is not entirely surprising.

Updated model gets certified by CARB After being absent from the 2024 offerings, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is poised to return to American Honda’s lineup for 2025 with the updates introduced at EICMA. The Fireblade SP was last offered in the U.S. as a 2023 model, and when Honda announced an updated version last November, we were disappointed to hear nary a peep from American Honda about the superbike.
