              2010 BMW R1200GSA – LOADED!!   VIN:  WB1048000AZX65142   If you’re reading this ad, you probably already know that this is the granddaddy of adventure bikes and this one is truly set up to go the long-way around.  Ready yourself for the journey and in the meantime, enjoy the fall; it’s the best time to ride.    This bike is fitted with two BMW panniers, the endure transmission and the premium package.  The only items that I know of that are not on the cycle are electronic traction control and tire-gauge monitors.  The Electronic Suspension (ESA) is incredible, as are the heated grips, especially in the spring and fall.  To top it off, this bike has the 110hp BMW engine; two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder.  I’ve owed two other boxers and there is no comparison in performance.    The bike has been serviced by a tech in our local BMW club, a BMW junkie and one of the best techs that I know. He is employed at our local Harley Davison dealership where he does all of their metric bike work, so I just take my bike there.  I have all of the records and all components are BMW.  This bike has been serviced more than suggested by BMW.  With just over 19,000 miles on it, it’s had seven oil changes, four final drive and transmission changes, brake fluid change, air filter, new spark plugs and on and on.  The last full service was performed on 9/11/2013 at 17,927 miles and this included a new set of Metzler Torrence tires.  Bike has always been garaged and kept in great condition.    Now for the “farkles” that I’ve added; over three grand worth excluding the installation cost on many of them.  I was surprised at how little some of the key areas of the bike are not factory protected; this one is truly ready for the Alaskan run.

    Cleaning out the garage - I'm downsizing to a condominium and the bikes have to go.  I am the 2nd owner of this bike which I bought in 2004 from a private party with 4K miles on it.  I added the BMW right & left system cases and wider & taller windscreen from Wunderlich.  It has normal wear & tear but no damage (never been down) and everything works as it should.  It's due for new tires (last new set went on 7K miles ago); still some tread there but I did have to plug a hole in the rear recently so it's a good idea to replace both.  Bike may have a few more miles on it when you get it as it is my daily driver to and from work weather permitting (~12 miles round  trip).   On Sep-18-13 at 01:59:50 PDT, seller added the following information: This bike is equipped with ABS brakes.

    This is a European model RT that is one owner.  I bought this new when I lived inEngland.  About the only noticeabledifference is the fog lights that come out where the vent is on U.S.models.  I went through all the properprocedures to import this cycle.  It nowhas a clear U.S. Ohio title.  As thepicture shows, it only has approximately 15,000 miles.  A couple of years ago, I had it completelygone through by a BMW shop here in Ohio. Among other things, they replaced the tires, shocks, and exhaustsystem.  This is not a restored bike, butyou would be hard pressed to find another one as nice.  Its an original bike owned by an old guythat has loved it and taken care of it since new.  It has been stored inside and covered itsentire life.  Almost all of the miles onit are from me touring around Europe. The luggage is original and in great shape, as is the rest of the bike.

BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles

The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.

Fast Facts Euro 5 engine updates Six-axis IMU Next-gen Dynamic ESA 10.25 TFT Engine updates, 10.25" TFT screen and next-gen Dynamic ESA As we previously reported, BMW has updated its K1600 models for 2022, revising the six-cylinder engine to meet the Euro 5 emissions standard and adding a number of small but notable upgrades. For 2022, the K1600 range will again consist of the sportier K1600GT, the more touring-focused K1600GTL and the streamlined K1600B bagger. The K1600 Grand America also returns as an optional package for the K1600B.

Euro 5 updates and more for six-cylinder K bikes The R18 Transcontinental and R18 Bagger have been getting a lot of attention lately, as BMWs foray into large-displacement cruiser touring segment. Getting somewhat lost, however, are BMWs existing K1600 range, which used to be the companys representatives in the touring category. While still part of BMWs lineup, the six-cylinder models have not been updated since the 2017 model year, not even receiving any changes to meet Euro 5 standards that came into effect last year.
