You are bidding on a 1976 BMW R75/6 motorcycle. I have owned this bike for 1 year. It had been previously owned by a local attorney who had it serviced, gas drained and parked it at the end of 2004. It had been sitting in a conditioned garage until I purchased it. It has a clean Indiana title. I checked all of the vitals, filled with fresh gas and installed a battery. The bike started and runs. I have not taken any of the components off of the motor, or done any type of internal inspection. I have ridden it about 15 miles. I did rebuild the front master cylinder which was leaking and it now works perfectly. I bought it as a project bike but decided to sell because of an out of state job transfer. I purchased the bike in 2009 from a Delta Airlines pilot who had owned it since new and maintained the bike perfectly. Possibly the most dependable fun to ride bike that BMW made. It completely gone over by the BMW dealer in Grand Rapids. New battery new Master cyl, tuned up ready to ride. I would not be afraid to take this bike anywhere. I have put 100,000 miles on R65's starting in 1978 and never had a problem. I would not be selling this bike but I am disabled and have to move to a trike. The bike fell down at a gas station and the odometer broke. So, the mileage has to be listed as unknown It read 27,000 miles at that time and has not been used much since. delivery is on you but if you live in Michigan I will bring it to you for free, probably drive it if I can. I have owned the bike since 1985, but let the tags expire in 1987 while I was at college. I was concerned about using unleaded gas in it, and I got tired of fixing the floats, and it needed a new muffler cross-over pipe (which I still have, but never installed) to pass inspection. I did not need it for transportation, so it got left alone and ended up stored in a barn for a few years, until I moved to a place where I could store it where I lived. My intention was to harden the engine for the unleaded gas, but I could never afford to have it done. The last time I had it running was around 94 or so. Since then, it was kept in a shed until 97, then garages. Kind of became part of the garages at both of the houses that I lived. Mostly out of sight and out of mind, unless it was in the way. I have thought of trying to restore it, but my kids are not really interested in it, and so many years have passed, that it is just time to sell. It has 26,061 miles on it. I still have the Virginia state title. I took off the faring a few years ago and stored it in the attic of the garage to get it out of the way. For the one picture I put it mostly on, just to show it, but did not tightened it down. The engine does have compression, but it has not had gas in it for quite some time and the tank is rusted inside. There is some rust on the handle bars as seen in the pictures, and the mufflers are not original, but they were incredibly loud (even before the leak). The spark plug cable holders (piece that goes over the plug) have broken on both sides where the spark plug wire is clamped onto the holder (can see in the picture somewhat).2016-08-06 04:51:27King George, Virginia, United States264200 -

The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.

Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.

A new document released by the California Air Resources Board reveals the more luxurious K1600GTL may be getting its own special variant as well. CARB released a new executive order for its 2014 K16 models including the K1600GTL Exclusive alongside the regular K1600GTL and the K1600GT.

Officially revealed after a year of testing at various events in Europe such as the 2012 London Olympics, the BMW C evolution is now ready for production, joining the gas-powered C650GT and C600 Sport. The C evolution is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor claiming an European Union-rated 15 hp, though if you really strain the motor peak output can reach 47 hp.

Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
