Garage kept Arizona bike with no rust. Rare S-Fairing with working clock, working volt meter and new windshield. The top end has been resealed per factory specs. Continental tires have 1500 miles on them. All rubber pieces on the bike have been replaced. New cables, alcohol proof float kits and mirrors. Wheels have been trued and ride very nicely. All engine seals and o-rings replaced. All new handlebar switch pods on both left and right sides. DynaIII electronic ignition. Koni shocks in the rear and Progressive springs up front. Reynolds Rack with a very nice newer set of locking Krauser hard panniers included. The bike also has the original toolkit, owners manual, air pump and BMW factory rag. Valves were adjusted 1K ago. 1977 BMW R100/RS You have a chance to bid on this 1977 BMW R100RS, serial#6180044. An early first year model built 08/76 and originally owned by Malcolm Forbes. This is the first model year for the R100RS with the wind tunnel designed frame mounted fairing which all sport and touring motorcycles would follow to this day. Even today this is one of if not the best fairing ever put on a motorcycle. I have owned this bike about 25 years and did the restoration about 10-12 years ago. I started with a numbers matching 1 of 200 40mm big pipe/big valve bike in vgc. I purchased the bike with 6016 miles and pretty much rode it all over the country before the restoration. Since then it has been ridden a few hundred miles per year now showing 36,XXX miles. The bike runs as good as it looks. No expense has ever been spared on maintenance or during the restoration. The bike has CC ported and polished heads with hardened seats, Dyna3 ignition, carbs completely rebuilt with alcohol proof independent floats, lightened and balanced flywheel with all new clutch components. Wheels and chassis have all new bearings, all new rubber, seals, cables, etc. Everything works exactly as it should except the clock which loses some time lately. If bike does not sell right away I may get the clock fixed. 1978 BMW R100S with close to 35k milesthis a great bike that would make a nice addition for any collector, or a great daily driver or sport touring motorcycle.I just recently took it on a 600 mile trio through several state parks in southern Utah and he handled like a champ. plenty of power. I have had several other BMW airheads and this one is by far the smoothest and fastest. the speedometer stopped working when i purchased it and the previous owner said it was close to 32k miles I have replaced the original speedometer from one off a R100rt and everything works except the back light. it might just need a bulb.there are a few minor scratches on the lower right hand side of the motorcycle tank and some light cracks on the top of the fairing from being over tightened by the previous owner.the bike has custom mufflers that have been tuned beautifully and have a nice mean sound without being too loud, and they don't backfire!brand new AGM style battery that has tons of cca for turning the 1000cc engine overcomes with factory tire pump that is located under the seatboth hard bags and bracketsthe original seat has been upholstered in a nice black fabric and has 2 hidden storage compartments.tires are goodbrakes are goodoil was just changedand only has a small leak about the size of a penny on the ground if left sitting for a while.2016-07-05 04:52:24Las Vegas, Nevada, United States357,000.00 -

Tue, 05 Nov 2013BMW revealed a new naked version of its flagship S1000RR superbike, presenting the new 2014 S1000R at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The 999cc inline-Four engine has been retuned for low- to mid-range performance, with redesigned cylinder head ducts, modified cam profiles, updated engine management and a 2000 rpm reduction in the rev limit. BMW claims a peak output of 158 hp at 11000 rpm, compared to the S1000RR’s 193 hp claims.

There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. Drool-worthy new trials bike
Fri, 25 Oct 2013THIS is the new Montesa Cota 4RT260 Factory, a sort of BMW HP4 of the trials world. Developed in collaboration with Honda, and the Repsol Montesa Honda Trials team, it’s got a 259cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine designed to compete with smaller two-strokes while producing less emissions. There are two versions, the £5,699 standard 4RT260, aimed at amateur-to-advanced riders, and the more competition-focussed Factory Race Replica version, with Showa suspension, at £6,799.
