The 390 Adventure Project – Upgrades and Adjustments

Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed

We confess, the BMW R1200RT was a glaring omission from our list of top 10 motorcycles to watch at EICMA. There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. BMW Set Single Month Sales Record in April 2013 – New R1200GS Represents 27.7% of Sales Volume

BMW announced it set a new company all-time sales record for a single month, delivering 14,587 motorcycles to customers in April 2013. That represents an 11.5% increase from the 13,088 motorcycles sold in April 2012. The record month helped push BMW‘s overall sales over the first four months to 39,319 motorcycles and scooters, a 5.0% increase from the 13,088 units sold in the same period of 2012.
