BMW R-Series description

Enjoy this Fall/Winter with this ready to go practically new state of the art touring bike. It is comfortable and with the Dynamic suspension you will get there with a smile on your face.  The electric windshield makes it nice and quite too! Yes, I hate to sell this terrific bike but wanting to start a business venture.  I will own another one, one day. I have fixed this one up to make it better then off the showroom floor.  I have done a lot of extra things since I purchased it new from Asheville BMW (Eurosport Asheville) before Knoxville had Goodtimes BMW (GT's is 6 miles from my house). Both dealers know me and the bike.  It has been very well taken care of and just had the 6K service ($270). I have all records and clear title in my safety deposit box. It has the BMW's premium package on it. (Please google 2014 R1200RTW (new water cooled))

Lastest and Greatest: Clearwater Lights on it (to make the train triangle effect), rear blinker light, reflective tape on back of saddle bags, ceebee headlight cover, clear plastic bras on the side bags, RT tank bag liners included, battery tender connection, new rear tire (just replaced b/c it had a nail in it), BMW head guards, heated seats & grips, alarm system, central locking system, GPS/NAV sirus, FM/AM, USB, cell capability, bag inserts in side bags, locking lic.plate helmet holder..bike is all BMW equipped.

Thanks for looking and know you'll enjoy it as much as I have....going to miss it! Great Bike and price is negotiable. Serious Inquiries only please.  Thanks for looking...please let me know if you have any questions.

2012 BMW G650GS Sertão Announced

Mon, 03 Oct 2011

BMW has unveiled a new more off-road oriented version of the G650GS. Named for a dry backlands region of northeastern Brazil, the 2012 BMW G650GS Sertão adds longer-travel suspension and wire-spoke wheels to make it a more capable machine for off-road adventure riding. The Sertão’s 41mm fork offers over 210mm of travel compared to the regular G650GS’ 170mm.

The 390 Adventure Project – Upgrades and Adjustments

Wed, 10 Jul 2024

Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

Jeremy Burgess Out and Silvano Galbusera In as Valentino Rossi’s Crew Chief

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.
