BMW R-Series description

Beautiful 2014 BMW R NineT with 9,060 miles for sale. $11,500 or best offer. Babied and garage kept. Just received its annual service with a new set of tires last month. Really sad to see her go, but am moving and don't have garage or parking for her.

Upgrades include passenger seat hump (not pictured), extra sport seat (not pictured), Kreiga and Dryspec bags, bar end mirrors, RAM mount, and Rizoma oil cap.  Bike is under factory warranty through March 2017.

The bike has a lien, so sale and transfer of title will occur at the bank.  If you prefer, I will also do escrow.

New: Touratech Ambato Exp tank bag for BMW R1200GS

TOURATECH now makes an expandable tank bag to match BMW’s R1200GS in red and silver. The touring accessory firm’s "Ambato Exp" tank bag has been on sale for a month but until now only in black or black and white. It features a model-specific base plate for quick-release attachment to the R1200GS, waterproof inserts and Cordura fabric described as “tear proof”.

Schaller Replacing von Kuenheim as Head of BMW Motorrad

BMW is shuffling its management team, with current head of the its motorcycle business Hendrik von Kuenheim getting reassigned to the automotive side of the company. He will be replaced by Stephan Schaller on June 1 in a domino-effect series of reassignments. Pictured to the left in the picture above, Von Kuenheim has been in charge of the motorrad portfolio since 2008.

BMW Reports Q2 2012 Results

BMW reported a 8.9% decrease in motorcycle sales revenue over the second quarter of 2012 but still managed a 1.3% increase over the first half. According to German manufacturer’s second quarter report, the BMW and Husqvarna combined for 410 million euros (US$507.7 million) in revenue over the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, a decrease from the 450 million euros reported in the same period last year. Revenues for the first half totaled 858 million euros (US$1.06 billion), a 1.3% year-over-year increase from 847 million euros.
