BMW R-Series description

All righty than

I've laid it over once .

Tool's sparkplug cap remover wheel balancer adapter.  In  the photo on top of one of the side bags next to the original seat.

This is my 2012  R 1200 GS adventure I am the original owner was ordered for me it didn't sit around at the dealership with everybody's grubby fingers on it.

As they run dealerships nowadays.

Equipment PKG 2 .  Heated grips, ESA II electronic suspension) integrated ABS II, Enduro transmission , triple black  paint ,onboard computer, saddle bag mounts, fog lights which came ordered with the bike.  Throttle lock from Bob's BMW was added by me and will be left on.

Fuel capacity 8.7 gallons  charging system 720 watts at 14 volts , bhp 110 @ 7750 rpm.  Heidenau K60 Scout with approximately 500 miles . Shorai Lithium Battery the biggest one I could get in there about two years old.

It has 10,500 miles on it .  I laid it over in a corner had my original tires on it a little too long at least that's what I've told myself.

I was fortunate as I have a cup holder which got pushed into the upper portion of the tank as seen in the pictures.  It also laid on its crash guard as seen in the pictures.  It also laid on its left side box and mark the left front portion of that box as seen in the pictures.

So there's two marks on the bike itself one on the crash guard and on the tank.  That is the only damage to the bike.

I have had the 600 and 6000 mile service done at the dealership.  I did the valve shams. Break an clutch fluid flush.  Transmission oil  and have changed the air filter.  I  change the oil every 2500 miles or three months give or take a little bit but pretty close to religiously.

Which brings me to the reason I'm selling.  It had  been sitting in the garage as it's always been garage kept.  It had been hot here and I hadn't ridden for about three months.  I wanted to ride an went out and change the oil and filter.  Ready to fire that up

After cranking on it a good while with my incredibly long lasting batterie it hadn't been charged for at least three months that it's in there now in the pictures.

Anyway fuel distributor and fuel pump had went bad.  And since I don't know what made it go bad cough Ethanol  and I don't have a computer to make sure it wasn't something else that caused it.

I was at the mercy of a BMW dealership for three weeks since they had my motorcycle.

So it has just had a brand new fuel pump and fuel distributor installed 10/28 16.

Receipt to validate this.

I'm going back old school and sticking with the seventies bikes I grew up on know and love.

This is a very strong running bike with impressive capabilities in excellent condition.

I'll try to get out  a video on you tube .

I'm not selling it for dirt .  So we could work on the price if you don't want some of the accessories. as I can assure you that BMW charges a sweet penny for anything specially something labeled accessory.

Turn your BMW into a fire engine

Wed, 16 Mar 2011

German fire engine and pump manufacturer Rosenbauer have utilised the ubiquitous BMW 1200 boxer engine to produce a powerful and lightweight water pump.  The engine runs as normal, using it's torqey qualities to power the high pressure waterpump attached.  Firefighters can carry this compact pump closer to the fire, and go where the normal fire engine cannot reach.
