starts easily and idles smoothly

everything works as it should, handles very well

Michelin Road Pilot tires like brand new

battery is strong, always on a tender

Remus system gives it a nice growl and burble but not obnoxious

pre-delivery checklist at Twin City BMW in Savoy, IL on 5/5/06 at zero miles

600 mile service at Twin City on 6/14/06 at 776 miles

warranty service on emissions control at Twin City on 10/20/07

final drive oil swap, full synth, 3/1/08

valves set at 11,680 miles on 9/25/08

somewhat of a black hole after this

bike was obviously well maintained but former owner did not provide further records

full service and complete checkover including oil / filter / final drive change in spring 2016

Cosmetic condition

for a 46k bike the condition is excellent

garage kept and generally fair weather ridden and it shows

paint glossy everywhere, few stone chips on right front fairing

both bags have some minor rash and left fairing corner has been touched up

little scuff on left mirror and spark plug cover, buzz on clutch lever

two little catches on passenger seat, one is shown in pic (1/8 to 1/4" long)

A hundred years of BMW Motorrad BMW Motorrad is commemorating its 100th anniversary with the release of Special Heritage editions of the R nineT and R18. BMW will produce 1,923 units of each model, recognizing the debut of the brand’s first motorcycle, the R 32, in September 1923 at the German Motor Show in Berlin. Both models come with a number of chrome and Option 719 parts, including some milled pieces and several paint-on-chrome surfaces.

BMW has released additional information breaking down its record 2011 sales. As previously reported, the German manufacturer sold a record 104,286 units in 2011, with a 7.4% year-on-year growth in the United States alone. According to BMW, the company sold 10,203 units in the U.S., making it the third largest market for BMW, behind Germany (20,002 units) and Italy (13,600 units).
