BMW R-Series description

Up for auction is my very rare R1200st. Only imported to U.S. in 2005. Excellent sport touring motorcycle. Less than 30K miles. Comes with color matched hard saddle bags and trunk, Custom seat but I also have the original seats, Rox handlebar conversion kit but I still have the original stock handle bar mounts. New Tires, tank bag. Recent service includes ABS works perfect just had is serviced and oil change. Also has convenient helmet locks on rear fender. Registered through Nov. 2016. Bike is in excellent condition. you will not find a cleaner ST. No rush to sell just purchased a new Africa Twin so i am not riding it at all.

My S1000RR has stopped but it's only a broken chain.

I know there has been a lack of blogging on my S1000RR recently and that’s because it’s broken, but only a little bit. On July 18th I was at Silverstone looking after some Bahnstormer BMW customers, when late in the afternoon something hit me on the back as I was charging down the Wellington Straight. At that precise moment I also thought I had hit a false neutral but it turns out the chain had snapped.

BMW Begins Motorcycle Production in Thailand

BMW has opened a new motorcycle assembly line at the company’s factory in Thailand. The facility will initially only produce F800R roadsters from complete knock-down kits for the Thai market, though BMW plans to eventually make the facility a production hub for other Asian markets. The Thai facility is BMW’s first wholly-owned motorcycle assembly plant outside of Germany, though the company does share facilities in Manaus, Brazil with local manufacturer DAFRA Motos.
