For sale is a very clean well cared 2005 BMW R1200GS with original paint, VIN: WB10317A15ZL76685, with 25190 miles.

I am selling this bike for the widow of one of my good friends who suddenly passed away last Christmas eve after the family dinner.

This bike needs NOTHINH, but a new rider.

All the recalls, updates, and service bulletins are all up to the date with all the service records and BMW central data base.

As far as I know, this bike was serviced by the owner before it was put away for the winter. The battery was on the battery tender the whole time in the temperature controlled garage. The bike is clean and mostly stock beside few upgrades. The upgrades are as followed, WP shocks (both front and back), full Staintune exhaust system (sounds really AMAZING), throttle bar end cruise assit, and BMW motorrad Navigator II. The Metzeler Tourance is like new (I believe he put those on last full not too long before he winterized the bike).

I have performed a completely safety check of this bike myself, and put down 165 miles on 6/30/2016 the last day before the registration expired. The brake pads (front/left) have more than 60% left. Tires are almost new. Bike starts and runs as it should be. The WP suspension is a work of art. This might be the best riding motorcycle I have ever ridden. The exhaust sounds amazing. It's on the loud side when you have the throttle opened, but it keeps the tone low and deep while you are cruising.

This bike is a perfect running machine, but it is still a 10 years old bike. It has some road hazard marks all over the bike, but this is a GS.

There are a videos of this bike on you tube for you to watch. Please search:

2005 BMW R1200GS Vin: ZL76685 Townsend estate

There is a link with 100+ photos of this bike at the comment section of the video. Please let me know if you had any problems.

The bike comes with one key, both side and top cases (3 extendable BMW keyed OEM cases), a full tank gas, and all the service records. The clear New Hampshire title and Bill of sale will be issued with the sale.

This bike needs NOTHINH, but a new rider. All you need to do is coming over, putting down your destination into the GPS, and your journey starts right at my front door regardless how long this journey is.

BMW Fuel Pump Recall Hits US, Affecting 50,184 Motorcycles

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

A recall affecting 18 different BMW motorcycle models from seven model years has been announced for the U.S., affecting 50,184 motorcycles. At issue is a potential leak in the fuel pumps or auxiliary fuel pumps on 2005-2011 BMW R series models, 2005-2012 K series models, 2006-2010 HP2 models and 2010-2011 S1000RR sportbikes. A similar recall was announced last month in Canada, affecting 6,325 motorcycles, and we knew it was a matter of time before the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced one for the U.S.
