2004 BMW R1200C
CHROMEHEADS, rejoice!!! Take a look at this fine beauty up for sale. It’s from the last year that BMW produced the R1200C and this low low mileage example is a stunner. Having only a beer-run’s distance over 12,000 miles on the clock, this R-bike has only about 188,000 miles left in it before you have to start worrying about anything going wrong.
Immaculately cared for, this mocha colored bike oozes cool… miles and miles of chrome accentuated by BMW’s take on classic cruiser lines, this bike is an absolute dream. It comes standard with crash bars that double as highway-pegs (for those long cruises), ABS, integrated braking (yes, folks… just pull hard on that hand lever and the anchors drag this beast of a bike to a halt with eye-bulging quickness without any need of using your right foot) and BMW’s famous and patented telelever front suspension.
Have you ever ridden a bike that has ZERO front nose-dive when you grab a massive handful of front brake? When BMW designed this bike they did so with not only style in mind, but they gave even more thought to ground-breaking technology that saves motorcyclist’s lives. One ride on this bad-boy and you will be swooning. However, if things don’t go quite as well and you have one harrowing journey out when some dipstick motorist cuts you off pulling out of Wal-Mart you will then come to realize the magnificence that this bike embodies… rather than having to dump the bike and ruin your day, your leg, and your bike, all you have to do is hit the “oh-crap” lever hard and this bike, with all the manners and poise of an English Butler serving scones and tea, will come to a halt in enough time for you to check your phone for emails before giving the aforementioned dipstick the one fingered salute.
It also comes with the BMW leather saddlebags for those nice weekenders down the coast. Look at those pictures, you can almost smell the freedom that beckons. All (and I mean every single thing that has ever been done to this bike to keep in in tip-top condition) service records are in my possession and they outline how well this has been cared for. 2 keys and the original seat also convey (though, when you get a look at the peanut butter colored original seat you will ask yourself, “why oh why would anyone ever keep that ugly bit of nastiness?” To each his own, someone might like it, so I kept it!) The tires are within 1000 miles of being new, so don’t worry about having to have those done anytime soon, either.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me even though the pix should hopefully speak for themselves. Enjoy looking!! If you are in the Chesapeake (a suburb of Norfolk, VA) area give me a holler and I'll make it available for viewing! $250 deposit is due after winning bid is placed and I will accept cash and cash only for payment. |
